Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Assam Oil Division) has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible Indian female nationals for admission to the B.Sc. (Nursing) course for the session 2026-27 at Assam Oil College of Nursing (AOCN), Digboi. A total of 30 seats are available for the 4-year full-time regular B.Sc. Nursing course. The course is affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, and recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must have passed 12th class (10+2) with physics, chemistry, biology and English with a minimum of 45% marks in physics, chemistry and biology together. For SC/ST/OBC applicants, the minimum marks requirement is 40%. English is a compulsory subject, and applicants must have pass marks in it. Applicants must also have passed both the theory and practical tests in physics, chemistry and biology individually. Applicants from state open schools recognised by the state or central government, including NIOS with science subjects and English, are also eligible. The minimum age limit is 17 years, and the maximum age limit is 35 years.

Age relaxation for SC/ST applicants is 5 years (up to 40 years), for OBC (NCL) applicants it is 3 years (up to 38 years) and for PwBD applicants it is 5 years (up to 40 years), irrespective of category. Married applicants are also eligible. Colour-blind applicants may apply provided they wear colour-corrective contact lenses or spectacles. Applicants must be medically fit. Applicants with higher professional qualifications such as BE, B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, PhD, etc. are not eligible.

Additional benefits include free hostel accommodation (compulsory stay in college hostel) and medical attention at AOD Hospital, and a uniform will be provided to all selected applicants. After completing the course applicants will be essentially engaged as working interns for 1 year (extendable by up to 2 years at IOCL’s discretion) at AOD Hospital or any other IOCL hospital. Working interns will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs 16,250 per month at AOD Hospital with an additional Rs 1,000 per month if posted at any other IOCL hospital. Accommodation will not be provided during the internship period.
